Hello, I'm Hugues Belaib, a UX designer from Montreal, Canada
Currently I'm working as Product designer at La Presse, a francophone media outlet focusing on publishing verified quality news. Before that I designed for the City of Montreal.
Translating business objectives into experiences and solutions that help the company succeed while advocating users' needs.
Digging deep into user's reality, understanding context of use, identifying their mental models, modelling their profiles.
Working hand in hand with designers, engineers and product managers to help them determine the best approach.
With more than 6+ years of experience I've had the opportunity to help craft & design experiences, mobile apps & systems for multiple companies and clients.
Graduated with a university degree in motion design in 2006. Spent the better part of a decade working as a designer & translator. With experience across agencies and product/service companies and with a technical affinity, I bring a well balanced perspective to my work.
I enjoy a good cup of coffee, crossfitting and tearing apart my house to renovate it. I love spending time with my fiancé and my two daughters, photographing places & architecture.
I've worn many hats throughout my career and staying humble, working together and having no prestige is important to me.
I believe in honesty, respect, love & positivity for everything from work to everyday life.
Doing the right thing is always the right thing to do.
